Claire and Richard are one of the happiest, bubbliest couples I’ve ever met! I knew their wedding day would be full of laughter, fun and a little bit of craziness!
I arrived at Claire’s mum’s house that mild September morning, and I was greeted with beautiful pastel details and friendly faces! My sister used to work with Claire’s sister, Kim, and a couple of years ago I photographed her 30th birthday which was a blast! Since then Kim has had a beautiful little girl called Lily who attended Claire and Richard’s wedding and stole the show ;) I loved the fact that Claire had chosen different coloured pastel dresses for each of her bridesmaids, each with their own pair of matching shoes and bouquets! Claire herself opted for a strapless sweetheart neckline dress that nipped her in at the waist, teamed with blush shoes and a bouquet of mixed pastels – she looked simply stunning!
From the walk down the aisle to first dance, Claire and Richard never stopped laughing and smiling. Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous St Nicholas Church in Barton Le Clay and then on to the Cross Keys Pub in Pullox Hill for their reception. The pub was totally unrecognisable, with a big marquee to the rear of the building decorated in pastel colours to match the feel of the day. Some of my favourite details were the world map table plan which pinpointed all the places that the couple had visited when travelling for the last couple of years, and the signature board with one of their engagement photos in the centre!
After the first dance and the bouquet toss (which was hilarious!) the party really got started! These two really know how to throw a party – there was always someone on the dance floor and there were plenty of drinks to go around! Claire and Richard, I had so much fun capturing your day and I wish you every happiness together!
